Let's not mince words here. I am not talking about the GOP's leader. We already know that he has frequently demonstrated misogyny and racism. I am talking about the Republican party. They have proven themselves a misguided bunch of scoundrels not by what they say, but what they do not say.
Is mocking children now OK in this country?
So, as if we cannot sink any lower in this country, our President mocks, and insults, a 16 year old girl, and nary a peep from the GOP faithful. To those that would argue she is addressing adult issues, and therefore open to adult criticism, I would compare them to the pedophile that says "she told me she was 18". I'm sorry. Children get a pass and should not be treated, or addressed as adults, in matters such as this. This behavior is beyond reprehensible. So where is the indignation by the GOP? I often hear how Mike Pence is a good man. A loyal man. All well and good, but where is he on this issue..or anything for that matter? It is not good enough to publicly remain silent on something like this and keep up that charade Mr. VP.
Worse than we think
As if any of the above were not bad enough, I fear things are much worse than we thought. As much as I hate to admit it, I think most current GOP supporters are still OK with this sort of behavior. Yes, I am saying that a lot of Americans are OK with their President mocking and insulting children. I would be curious to know why.
